DMSR and "Dance, Party, etc." I was just digging through my annals of funk, and has anyone ever noticed that the Bar-Kay's "Dance, Party, etc." off of their 1984 album "Dangerous" bears a REALLY close resemblance to DMSR? Check it out...

I had never heard it before, but you're absolutely right.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

If Prince is the real thing, this surely was the knockoff version you'd buy at the swap meet. There have been plenty of discussions about The Bar-Kays doing this in the next forum down, try to org search them. Jeux Sans Frontiers

Uhhmmm...I thought it´s an established fact that the Bar-Kays are nothing but a copycat band. A lot of their most famous songs were either heavily influenced by other songs, or they just blatanly copied the original with no shame in their game.
Don´t get me wrong, I love me some Bar-Kays but there are lots of Bar-Kays songs that sound like someone else´s song. ( Mostly inspired by either Prince, ZAPP, the Whispers, or Midnight Star).
But we all know that Prince also stole a lot from other folks, so I guess there´s balance. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"
