All I'm sayin is that I wish there was a little player on the bottom of the Org screen where we can start and stop his music from streaming at any time. That way, we can get that "full" P experience on here. I think that would be cool. And if we are worrying about bandwidth overload, why not pull it directly from a internet radio and permanetly fix it here? ( We can create the net radio site from P.org) Also, his "friends" can upload his songs, (not only from the albums, bootz 2), to the net radio we'd be putting here. Therefore, were not using his music for this purpose and blah , blah , blah. I would love that. Anyone? Can we take a vote? If I came to this site and Feel U Up was already playing . There are however plenty of online stations playing 100% Prince and associated artists, simply open one of those in another window. Job done.

So are those staions that are doing it Illegal? Im just saying, its just radio. ONLINE. I know the whole get paid for every song put on the radio but if its a free radio station and THEY dont make no money how can he? ...Damn cease and desist....Pretty soon he's gonna have to take a cease to desist foot outta his ass!

Get the permission. Problem is that when no one asks him for permission, whether it's a website or a band covering his song, if he didn't give consent, it seems to annoy him.

If the org cut a deal with Prince to make his music available here, I expect it would come with some strings attached. If Prince started to have any control over content here, this place would cease to be the org as we know it, and would turn in to another one of his online creations that would eventually be shut down when he lost interest in the project.

This site could have a streaming music feature and a downloadstore too.

Prince could use it as a sale and promotion vehicle.

But even if he would want that, he would demand full control.

And probably turn it into something it should not be.

I hate to say this, but to me the site has always been utter shite. I'm here because there's no place else to go. I'm not a frequent contributor, (I browse at least briefly once a day) but aside from a few well-spoken souls, this place seems to be inhabited by people who think and communicate on the level of the folks on the Yahoo news comment sections.

I've a few friends who claim that Housequake.com was just as bad, but I honestly never saw it.

Understand, I'm not dissing the people who keep the website up or who have endured Prince's absolute love for the 1st amendment when it DOESN'T apply to him. I'm just saying that, for some damned reason, to ME it seems like this place attracts dipshits - of which I am probably one.

^yahoo is much, much, much worse. It isn't even moderated.

prince.org is much cooler than most of the people that frequent it think.

no it's not the end all be all but it has been the main prince site for more than a decade already

and that's not for nothing, that takes dedication and quality

if anything what makes prince.org suck is some of the people on it constantly whining that it sucks
