Isn't this dude embarrassed showing up to these wimpy fashion shows year after year with some new 19 year old girl? I am embarrassed for him. Prince should focus more on the craft of songwriting and record production and a little less time flaunting his young conquest around at lame assed fashion shows! His music has lost so much of it's edge and meaning over the years because of things like this. It's hard to take this Hugh Heffner wannabe seriously anymore. This dude has turned into a walking Vegas caberet show with his silk pajamas, sunglasses collection and girls young enough to be his daughter in tow.It is sad. Am I supposed to take this guy's music to heart anymore? After being subjected to this smarmy little Jehova's boy routine for quite some years now I have become turned-off to the music. At least Fdeluxe & The Original7ven have released some quality music for me to enjoy...it has been at least 20 years since Heffner Jr. has surprised me with his music.I shouldn't be surprised nor dissapointed though. If it walks and talks like a duck..... Way to go Prince Heffner!Keep knockin' 'em dead at the fashion shows!!! A 50 something party boy...how attractive wink Prince, grow -up.

Stop hating. Let them do them. Its not your business.

Change it one more time..

If my girls brought home 53 yr old boyfriend, me, their dad and uncles would kick his arse so hard he wouldn't wanna go near our daughters again lol but they wouldn't anyway, they hang out with there own age group.

I suppose each to there own. At the end of the day its none of my business and not my problem shrug

too funny. and probably true. his body language makes clear he's not comfortable.

RE all the stuff with andy- it all smacks of wendy minus the twin. she could hardly play, lackd in experince more than andy does and prince hugged etc her all the time. onstage off wherever.... to my eyes thier body language seems predictable and sorta neutral. and when they re are sitting down andy is completely closed off from him. not lovey dovey in anyway. they're facing each other yes, but cant really tell if they are "gazing" at each other. and she's too independant and career minded for prince- even in his old age he hasn't mellowed that much. ill be surprised if this thing lasts much longer.

are they fucking? who knows prince's habit is too hold hands with whomever he's out with and to keep his gf's mostly out of sight. and there's not a lot in these photos that suggest that they are. as a woman their vibe just doesnt say "together" to me. too much ego on both sides. ........ and geminis and capricorn should never be together. p and vanity didnt last very long either. why- she was thinkn about her career, prince was havin none of it...

my 2 cents.

Yeah, maybe George and his special Saudi friend were getting freaky, but Andy and Prince could just be in a business arrangement. As the Beatles said, love is more than just holding hands.

I just showed my daughter, who will turn 16 in 3 days, a picture of Prince & Andy.

I asked her, "Do you know who these people are?"

She said, "Well, I know that's Prince but I have no idea who that girl is."

Then I asked her, "What do you think of her?"

She said, "She looks mixed, she looks pretty but I don't like her hair, maybe if it was straight."

I said thank you for your feedback and left her.

If they are using each other, who is going 2 win?

Don't want to send the thread OT, but that statement is so sad to me for multiple reasons.

I guess the afro look on a woman is not in this year. lol

But if it will make you feel better, next week on report card pick up day, I check out the H.S. hair scene and look out 4 girls with afros 4 you then & report back.

Yeah and we've been programmed to not embrace our hair but straight hair looks better than our roots, but we all know thats not true. Yes Blame those people, my neice has big curly hair and she always says "no mommy I want my hair like beyonce" and I always respond baby your hair is beautiful just the way it is, natural is beautiful, embrace is... and thats why I love Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, India Arie, Ledisi, Maxwell, etc. ^_^ but.. As for Andy's hair.. I think its cute. If I had the ability to do that with my hair, I would wear it that way, sure she looks like Pyscho bob but its ok! lol

I teach in a high school...

Kids today don't have one specific look.

On a typical day on my way to class, I pass:

  • that girl with the rainbow-colored afro mohawk,
  • a girl with a mixed blond straight wig,
  • a girl with a short natural afro,
  • a boy with dreadlocks down to his waste,
  • a group of girls who do the purple, hot pink, etc. wig thing
  • and a boy with straightened shoulder-length hair like Andre 3000...

There is one girl who has a big curly afro like Andy's. In fact, there a quite a few in my high school. For most, they are wigs.

I like them together and she seems very comfortable around all the attention he attracts at a big event. I don't think this woman is a flake at all and he won't tp worry about any nuttiness that sometimes goes with women dating up. I also would bet money that she cares enough about her own musical aspirations to put some serious time into her guitar playing.

As for JW's, he reminds me of a married man who wants to get caught with his mistress so his wife will throw him out. I don"t really think the Witnesses vision of God was broad enough for Mr. Lovesexy to begin with. He outgrew them several years ago, IMO.

Don't forget Leela James on that list of women who wear the natural look. Andy has gorgeous, natural hair, and she's rocking that afro very well, which looks just fine on her. So many other black female artists get caught up in society's so-called standard of beauty, and at times, try hard too hard to fulfill an image they believe will please their audience in order to be accepted/embraced by them, which continues to add to the problem moreso than trying to 'correct' it. Also, not realizing that many little girls are observing the images they portray, and believing that's the only way many in society will accept their looks, instead of embracing their individual, unique qualities and self-image as inclusive to what defines 'beauty'. Sad but true.

Any mother (or any parent for that matter) who has the audacity to teach their daughter(s) that another female's hair texture is not an acceptable form of beauty or doesn't fit the standards of what defines beauty in this society, is just another contributor to the problem, moreso than a mother (parent) who has the common sense to break down the stereotypical, ignorance that goes along with that type of belief.

Just to add: It's a different time period today where many women have the right to choose how they want to wear their hair, and express/portray their self-image, whether they want to go brunette, blonde, or wear their hair, natural, permed, curly, kinky, braided, wear extensions/wigs, etc., but having to brainwash females, that only one type of hair texture is acceptable by society, is a stereotypical belief based on ignorance with a little stupidity thrown in the mix.

I remember when my baby was little. Used 2 love her baby afro and her barretts.

I used 2 fight with her because I wanted her hair 2 grow nice and long.

Told her you can't cut your hair until you are a senior but once she hit 14, she cut her hair and had it straighten behind my back.

I'm not gonna whoop my daughter becuse she did, she is an honor roll student and in honor society.

So I just gave in and instead I appreciate her style and tastes. biggrin
