Janelle is independant,original, attractive, artistic and playful; I will be suprised if she does not go far. She is all that Lady Gaga aspires to be.

The person who mentioned the pants wearing thing must have meant the women didn't wear pants when they went w/ him to fashion shows since Bria and Manuela wore pants when they were pictured w/ Prince at basketball games. I think women look best in dresses and maybe this is why those women wore dresses to the fashion shows. Andy looks kinda sad in this picture.

Somebody earlier on this thread, or maybe on another thread I'm sorry I can't recall for sure where, pointed out the terrible photoshop job underneath Andy's eyes and over her nose in that photo, and now I can't look at the pic without being aware of that glaring overly-softened and smoothed area!

I don't like that ugly jacket with the weird puffy shoulder pad thing going on, but that necklace is great.

I enjoy photos of Andy where she's less made up and more natural, and isn't sporting so much affected atitude...you know, where she looks like she's just BEING HERSELF and not so much a creation of someone else's.

I think the photo is more a victim of lighting and angle than photoshop--depending on the photographer's preferences. Andy is too young and her skin is too good to need photoshop at this point.

Why some are tripping on the fact that she's young and going out with Prince.....come on if she was working at a supermarket and going out with the store manager no one would say a word!!

Other than Nona Gaye, has Prince ever been with an African American woman who is a descendant of slaves? Vanity was Canadian as was Mani. Manuela's ancestors were Egyptians. Mayte may have had slaves in her ancestry but she wasn't exactly raised up as an African American. Liza is from Panama and now this woman was born to an African father and raised in Africa.

Prince is definitely a descendant of slaves as is Rosie Gaines, Shelby J, Larry Graham, Mavis, Marva and many more of his present day and former band mates. So he definitely enjoys working with people from his own cultural background. He just seldom seems to date them.

Encouraging her to play the guitar even. She has a much more tomboyish look to her than any other of his women since Cat. There are people who believe that it was really Wendy and not Susannah that Prince was interested in. Who knows. She does seem to be groomed to be more a part of the band than anyone else in that Protege/ girlfriend role I can think of.

Maybe her "dour, moody, F U look" (which I don't see) comes from Prince fans who have been picking her apart since the first time they paid attention to her....

I think Prince respected Wendy because she challenged him and took no shit, and also she was immune to his sexual charms so I think these people hold some appeal to Prince in a world of yes men/women, even if they frustrate him...
