I could be way off, but I gather what the OP is really saying is "That's WHY I stay a fan"
ie. amidst the craziness and the nonsense (not sure if that's aimed exclusively at the fansites, or the Prince camp as well), is there one defining 'thing', that reminds you of why you're still here.
For him, it's apparently the artistic process that went from creation (1st Ave performance of PR), to re-creation (movie version) to performance (music awards) - three considerably different depictions/deliveries of the one song.
I daresay that all three were technically performances, but I get the gist of what he's saying.
For me, I don't think there's any one thing. There's so much to enjoy

You are using a german keyboard - that's why the Y and Z and mixed up (because there's more Zs in german than Ys). But it makes you sound drunk and that you are zelling, instead of yelling.

Unless he diligently updates his org profile whenever he travels, I think it's more likely he's German, using an english keyboard
