Never stop believing that if nothing else, things change.

to always expect the unexpected. i remember listening to 1999 back in '82, not really getting it, wishing it were more polished and techno, wishing the songs were shorter and catchier. but i kept listening and listening...
prince's music doesn't always make sense to me when i first hear it, but it's always worth the investment over time. i usually catch up with it in about 5-6 years. to put it briefly, prince gives me what i need to hear, not always what i want.

Prince's music early on taught me,that no matter how talented you are, simplicity sells. Once you get em listening, take it to the stage then, you are the Master.

Prince's music has taught me SO MUCH about the art of music and in particular how to approach the guitar differently to just about everyone else.

I am a better guitar player because I have played along to Prince records.

His music has taught me a lot more as well as that, especially about music, but I don't have time to write all about that now.

Prince had something important to say in the music that needed to be said. Since then (with the exception of TheWar).. "boy ain't been nothing but finger chimes, bibles and bank notes."

I have learned many things from prince.His music covers so many things in life i would not know where to start.As he has said we are all the same and we all bleed the same.forget color,religion etc etc.we are all gods people.

For sure my life wouldn't be the same if I wasn't listening to Prince. Maybe I'd be in the front row of an N'SYNC or a Backstreet Boys concert screaming "I LOVE YOUUU!" But I don't think so. I think I would have listened to the same artists even without knowing Prince. Prince shaped my sensibility and gave me a "philosophy of life" : peace and be wild, which rocks!
