love777 It doesn't matter what creates the music, machines or live or whatever. What makes Prince's music real, and what makes it for real music lovers, is that it is real, it is not driven by the need to be sensational. It comes from the heart. It is composed by the performer, and it is made for the pure love of music, and nothing more (although he does enjoy the other benefit of a few bucks thrown his way). Angelindacorner, I think you were unfairly harsh to the banished one. For one, Prince is not the only "real music" that still exists. There are others, it's just a dwindling breed. And secondly, he never said he didn't like the music, he was merely asking a question. And even if he doesn't like the music, that's ok, he's still entitled to ask his questions. That "you don't like, don't listen" is a line I hear way too often these days. You might as well change the line to "you have a question, don't ask it". "Knowledge is preferable to ignorance. Better by far to embrace the hard truth than a reassuring faith. If we crave some cosmic purpose, then let us find ourselves a worthy goal" - Carl Sagan | |
