Condorcet Album Poll: Planet Earth.

This is the next installment in a series of polls ranking the songs on each album officially released by Prince or O+>. The goal of this project is to determine which tracks should be included in a final poll to determine the overall top 25 Prince songs in the opinion of his fans.

For those of you who haven’t been following the polls, these are different than the usual “best song” threads in that they combine the preferences of all the voters into an overall list.

I am going through these in the same order that they were ranked in the earlier poll of the best Prince albums. Now's the time of Planet Earth. Only 10 songs to rank.

Please don’t discuss the preliminary results or campaign for your favorite song(s) until the poll is closed. I plan to close the poll on Tuesday, but I may close it early if the preliminary results are discussed on this site. This is to make sure the poll is as accurate as possible.

I am loving this album at the moment. Can't believe I shelved it after a couple of listens back when it first came out.

My favourite album of the 00's. Tight, fun and cool. Perfect summer album too.

Genius album. He knew what he was doing from 2004-2009!

Although Guitar has been leading since almost the beginning of the poll, the last votes have given the victory to Chelsea Rodgers.

I love Chelsea Rodgers, and also Somewhere Here On Earth, which has ranked third.

But my favourite is Lion Of Judah. I suspected it wasn't going to win, but I'm surprised with its low ranking (8). Lion Of Judah is my favourite Prince song since the early 90's. Somewhere in between Money Don't Matter 2night and The Holy River, with moving lyrics that doesn't sound dogmatic or intolerant to my ears just because there are religious references; if I had to say which one is more "preaching" or "dogmatic", Anna Stesia would be, not Lion Of Judah. The chorus is pure enthusiasm.

Anyway, I like this album a lot, and I'm glad to see a high participation (61 votes). Thanks everybody!

I think SHOE shoul have won and Guitar and Lion Of Judah hould he sitched pace. Othr than that yay!
