I want my D.M.S.R! (on CD?)

I just bought the 1999 CD to replace my Vinyl. It says on the cover and in the booklet that DMSR is on it.The actual CD doesn't have it printed as one of the tracks (10 tracks instead of 11).

Unfortunately i've just started work so can't play(to check) it until i get home.

Anyone know what the deal is here? I'm not happy! mad

(i'm in the UK if that has anything to do with it)

Originally they could not fit all the tracks from 1999 on to 1 CD. So they left off DMSR. Then, when technology improved, they could fit the whole album on 1 CD so they re-issued it. The Re-issue is a slightly brighter colour. Take it back and ask 4 the later version.

AND I GOTTA ALOTTA BUTTA 2 GO!

Wow.You'd think they'd package it correctly, and not sell the old one. That sucks!.

In Holland they often take out the cd, keep it behind the counter and put it back when they sell it.

Maybe that is what happened to you.

I once bought A prince album and found out at home they put Barbra Streisand's greatest Hits in it...

I'd keep the version you have and buy the one with DMSR too.

I did the same as you, but I bought the DMSR-less one years and years ago, kept it and bought the other one.

I don't think they produce them any more, so it's something different.

I bought a DMSR-less version still sealed in the long-box a few years ago in a store that was going out of business. It was priced at something like 5 bucks. Don't know if it'll be worth anything in the future but it's a cool addition to my collection.
But 1999 without DMSR?!?
Should be against the law!

I should take it back and get another copy.

The version without D.M.S.R. may, or may not
be worth something in the future. But the
copy you've got has the case for the new
version, but the disc for the old version,
so won't be worth anything because it's a
simple case of someone putting the wrong
CD in the wrong case. (If you check the
disc and the case you'll find the catalogue
numbers don't match.)

Suck!

I don't dislike Barbra but I would be sooo disapointed if I got a Sterisand disc instead of A Prince CD!

LOL! I bought the Lovesexy album back in '88 to find out at home there was a completely different (non-Prince) disc in it. I returned to the shop immediately and had to talk for about ten minutes to the guy from the record store before he was convinced I wasn't trying to cheat on him... sad
