I suspected this was the same version that had been posted years ago, but I didn't have that one ready for a comparison.

I also assumed that doctor lameass wouldn't present something that was two years old as new or exclusive, but apparently he isn't afraid to be even lamer than he already is.

The track is labeled as a 2009 rehearsal and it said this in the comments section of the fan page in clear view 2 minutes after it was posted:

"This is from a rehearsal in 2009 that was shared with us then n we wanted to pull it back out for those that may have missed it. Love it."

No one said it was new or exclusive. No one.

There is a big difference between knowledge and access to old files.

I would say this fuggin sucks, but at least the band actually knows the parts to the song, unlike some of the more recent boots I've heard. They are sloppy at the beginning, but better later. The vocals sound terrible in Prince's tenor, something I'm sure he knew back when he recorded the original in falsetto. I see no point in a release, unless he just wanted to show us that he could still play the guitar solo. Is there nothing sacred to Modern Prince? Must he take a piss on every old school classic? He's even chopping down tracks that he didn't record. Why bother? Look out Whodini. Next up, Prince is remaking "I'm A Ho". Except he's going to change the lyrics to "I'm a Jehovah".

I had only listened to the first 30 seconds or so, came over to the org, saw nobody had posted about it and decided to start a thread. And then I leftt he office and didn't get back online until a day or so later. If I'd had a little more time I would have checked out http://www.princevault.co..._So_Bad%3F and suggested in my original post that this was probably the same mp3 from 2009.

Of course Dr Lameass could not be such a pathetic person and simply provide such information in the first place. Begging for Facebook likes by offering rare music, pffft.
