Just located the Lotusflow3r version on my hard drive... yeah, same one. It sounded different to how I remembered it, but then I realized I'm listening on a much better audio system these days

All I know is that this song was really cool to see live... but this vocal approach did not work and I think he realized that.

it was like a big hint that he'd be playing the tune which he did!! it was a very cool venue .

& the song had more impact live, bloody nice it was!!

I think folks may have misread what Bart is saying by "New version".

He might not be saying that it's brandnew , but that it's the latest version.

For exampl,e if I'm talking about VW Bugs, I might say the I prefer the 94 model over the new model, and by new model I'm talking about the one released 2 years ago.

At any rate, I don't think it matters if it's new or not--I loathe the vocals on it. I normally prefer Prnce's live performances, but whenever he rehearses, he often holds back on his vocals--in this case the vocals are so terribly meh, I just loose interest in listening to the song...a song I never cared for anyways.

Bart would have added "re-uploaded" or "reposted" if he thought it was old. He lives to be a smarmy knowitall.

Dr. F didn't say it was new, but did make a bit of a hoopla over it. Some "like me and there'll be more" bs.

I guess because the clip wasn't new, no one decided to post it here last night, but I figured it would make it's way here at some point. I didn't know it wasn't new nor that it was a rehersal, so it was new to me.

Point is, if anyone else had posted it, he would've insulted the crap outta the poster for not doing their research first.

Eye enjoyed that......Princes voice was alittle weak but the music rocked and the way it merged in2 Take Me With U was cool....Eye prefer the album version 2 that tho...
