What Prince songs (or outfits/looks/videos...whatever) are bad (like, you know with every fiber in your being that they are pretty awful) but you still secretly enjoy?

I hate Jughead, it is criminal, like the musical equivalent of setting a kitten on fire then putting it out by taking a dump on it. Prince should have served some time behind bars or paid a stiff fine for that mess...but it never fails, I always find myself singing along to Rosie's rap.

Arms of Orion is almost as much of a crapfest...yet I sing along every damn time also.

The Lovesexy Tour in Germany... Prince in poka-dots! I think the song was "hey little sister"? But everyone has seen the concert.

Purple Rain (the song) has bored the bollocks off me for years, but I still ocassionally hear a version on a boot or wherever that makes me think it's not all bad.

It is probably his worst (next to those raggedy braids or whatever they were during Rave). I remember wanting to scream when that video premiered and I saw my idol on the screen prancing around in my own mom's hairdo.

When I see the video every now and then (nowadays) I think it kinda works but only within the context of that video and never to be replicated again.

I know the Emancipation covers aren't popular...and he ain't the Delfonics...but I loooooove his version of La La Means I Love U. And Betcha By Golly Wow.

You know that shitty song "Everybody loves me" from 20Ten (probably not because it was only distributed to a couple of French towns, and a German concentration camp).

Well, sometimes, I sing that song in an exxagerrated "Tattoo" voice from that 70's show, Fantasy Island staring Ricardo Monteballs. To make things even worse, I loathe the song Diamonds & Pearls, and sometimes sing it like from the theme song to Love Boat---remember those Saturday night Love Boat/Fantasy island marathons? Yeah, I bet you do. And yes, I sometimes do this to Prince songs.

I also really dislike "Do U Lie" From Parade. But I'll sing it for shits and grins really gay-like and with a high pitched baby voice similar to that on the song, crossbred with that little baby voice at the end of "Delerious" that goes "ahhhaaaa.".

I also HATE 1999-The New Disaster. But there's this one part where one of the game boyz (or is that Doug E. Fresh) answers a knock at his door saying, "Who is it?" only to be answered by a VERY constipated sounding Rosie Gaines singing, "aaahhhh Came 2 PAAARRTTTEEEE" in a very low, raspy (and did I mention constipated sounding?) voice. I sing that "I came to party" party using the same low, raspy, (and did I mention constipated?) sounding voice.

The 1999 New Masters is the WORST piece of shit ever! Thats the lowest point of his Prince's career, you do all these versions and all of them sucked! NOW add the 1999 Rave PPV where he sang 1999 and it went all around the world and it was the WORST performance of the night!

Prince learned from this moment because since he has done killer live performances on tv! But wow this moment in 1999 was horrible

HA! I actually like the music for Jughead. It JAMS. The only part that I can live without is Tony's rap. He doesn't bother me when he raps a few bits on songs like Sexy MF, Gett OFF etc. but a whole song with him os a little to much. I would rather hear Prince do his vocal magic. But yeah, other than that, the song is a JAM for me.

the word "hate" appears from 2 different (or 1 perhaps) user/s in this thread, and the other day, some1 made me feel as if such sentiments do not exist towards Prince here...

the thing is that Prince looks good no matter what he wears, and pics cannot always capture the essence;

does he not have lyrics somewhere, where he says something along the lines of:

"put on something that another wouldn't wear?"
