Love Dance 4 me the best from MLPS

I LOVE them both! It's a great set...2 albums with 2 different vibes.

Yeah same.

Lotus seems like a well thought out inspired album with experimentation. There are some catchy grooves and some thought out lyrics. Lots of layers and colors on this one. I only didnt really get into Love Liek Jazz much.

They are all equally great for keeping my coffee table from having a ring from my the cold drinks I sit on them. 3 coasters in a pack. What a bargain!

This is was sad to listen to because Dreamer and Colonized mind were the the best of what he had to offer on that 3cd set and they seem a bit lifted. I think he desperately needed to change the people around him. It is clear to me that the musicians around him affect the quality of his work. Maybe Andy will have a good influence on him like Jill and Susannah, I'm gonna hope.

I think Prince needs to lock himself in his old basement by himself and not come out until he has another 1999 recorded.

Mplsound is pure shit, but he has made worse (unfortunately). Lotusflower has a couple of decent songs on it, and the fact that some of it sounds like Hendrix is it's only saving grace. Both pretty crap albums, and the less said about elixer, the better..

Initially I liked MPLSound better because I did not like the beginning of Lotus very much. Also, I felt MPLSound was a a richer Prince musical experience (despite how it may sound to some), where Lotus had him mostly playing guitar

But Lotus has grown on me. I probably like it better, partly because it feels more complete. MPLSound is missing one or two uptempo numbers toward the end. Too short and too many ballads.
