Chakas version of Dont talk 2 strangers is way better than P's, I must admit. Never heard them perform it live.

I like her version of I feel for u, but other than that I don't like her at all.
I downloaded Come 2 My House and could only manage to listen to it once.
I can't stand all that half screaming nonsense, I don't care how legendary she is. Not in my house she's not.

I like 3 songs: Ain't Nobody (disco classic)
I agree that her screaming is a bit anoying.
Come 2 My House was bad, I don't like that album at all. Prince 4Ever.

Chaka Khan is a legend with a voice that can put most artist to shame except Prince From "Tell Me Something Good" to "Come On"-the woman is beautiful inside and out. Take a listen to "Through the Fire" and "Angel" both are great songs.

Chaka Khan's concert in the Tivoli park, in 2008 in Copenhagen Denmark was panned by the critics:

Damn I wish I could remember the title of the song that Chaka sung at the end of the movie "Disappearing Acts" that song is beautiful.

I haven't listened to her properly, I'll recognise her most popular songs but that's it. When I tried listening to a couple of her songs I was put off by, as others have said, the screaming.

I can get with Chaka "screaming" all day long, but Patti and Fantasia screaming is some bull I just can't listen to

check out "smokin' room"... and there was a time (back in the day) that chaka just SANG. the hollering/vocal gymnastics came later.

Come 2 My House is one of my favorite Prince albums AND one of my favorite Chaka Khan albums, I' totally in love with it.
I also like Sticky Wicked and Pain a lot. I think they have a musical alchemy that works, a perfect combination of styles and skills, and I'd love them to record more stuff 2gether. A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

"Come 2 My House" wasn't bad and it had it's moments. I liked it WAY better than "GCS2000".
But when I want to listen to Chaka I go back to the 1970's.
Out of the thousands of concerts that I've seen, Chaka was the best. She opened for P and Larry and blew them both off the stage. She played hit after hit and had EVERYONE in the arena dancing. Even the security, police, ticket takers and the vendors at the food stands were doing the 2 step.
I thought it was cool that he brought her out and worked with her. I hope they're still on good terms.

I love them performing together. I always loved Chaka's voice. Her voice is so unique and more like an instrument. I think they both did a great job with Come 2 My House.

I am a big fan of Chaka, but I don't think they ever got the best out of each other that they could - Maybe their relationship isn't all that more than professional admiration after all? It all seems relatively clinical.
There's some high notes on Come 2 My House, but they're few and far between. 'I Feel For You' still reigns as their finest connection - and credit for that is really down to her relationship with Mardin than the one with Prince.

Plus anybody that doesn't like Chaka's screaming. Prince has screamed just as much.
