Did you guys see this commercial Thursday night during Survivor on CBS? It features file footage of the Beach Boys singing about a Chevy, then Don McClean singing "American Pie", Then Elton John singing "Crocodile Rock",( all songs referring to Chevy's), and then finally it shows Prince in concert singing "Little Red Corvette". The concert footage looked like it was from SOTT era and the film looked grainy. It was intercut with what looked like a staged audience at a Prince concert,You could tell the crowd wasn't actually at the same concetrt because the footage looked cleaner and the crowds fashion was up to date, ( not 1987 attire). The commercial ends with a subjective point of view of someone walking out the backdoor of the auditorium, into an alley way, where there is a brand new Chevy SSR convertible. A concept car due for release in March.
Definitely weird seeing the Royal One on primetime TV, much less a Chevy commercial.

YES! I actually first saw this commercial a few months back and thought it was pretty cool, but I was wicked psyched to see it played last night right in the middle of survivor..now that's some exposure eh? LOL cool! I didn't notice the attire of the audience but what I thought was kinda weird is how they have prince doing little red corvette but then the car they show is a red SSR, slightly confusing I think

The Footage is indeed from the "Sign "O" Times" concert film. the footage looked cleaned up to me.
