Namepeace, I concede!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (OK Y'all, LOVE THE HELL OUT OF THIS MUSICOLOGY SONG!)

Yes, I admit I'm wrong about once a decade. The rest of the time I'm completely right! biggrin lol

So finally, after many years I agree with you that What Do You Want Me to Do is an amazing piece of art clapping

I detest Musicology, as an album. The tour was the bomb though. I had a mental block on this for the longest time and I think what threw that wall up was someone saying this song was the twin of Dorothy Parker.

Anyway, just wanted to concede to your assessment that this is an amazing song. Did you call it amazing? I don't remember. I know you loved it. Wait, was it you or Threadbare? I guess I'll find out when you check this thread! lol

Indeed, I did take up for WDYWM2D. Great recall. TB I think dug it too. I can't remember whether I put it on the level of "Ballad," but I did note the similarity, I think.

Wow, I'd forgotten all about that.

But since the only previous mistakes you've conceded have been Creation and the Flood, I'm honored.

I'm sure TBare will be too!

it IS a good tune. I don't spin that record much even though I really like it confuse

WDYWMTDG seems seperate from the rest of the album in some strange way. Like the sole adopted kid in a big family. Like a seperate single older track he threw on there cuz he ran accross it and like it and re did it. Probably no that way at all..but it feels like that.

You see what eye see! lol... It is an incredible song, I had it in loop yesterday, just being amazed at the sheer genius and beauty of this track! What an amazing song, and it has the vibe of "The Ballad Of Dorthy Parker"...It is just an incredible track!

Gotta agree, before I take my tired self to bed. grandpa

The buoyancy of the bass playing counter to that tight Linn drum program. The jazz guitar. It's all incredibly tight.

TBODP and this song are neat twins. The lyrics are even complementarily weird.

Both WDYWMTD and Dorothy Parker have the same minimalist vibe to it. I tend to gravitate to these songs myself. WDYWMTD is the best song on Musicology in my opinion....

Peace...
