Manic Monday So heard Prince's version of Manic Monday today and, as much as it pains me to say, I think I prefer The Bangles version I know I never thought it could happen - I even prefer Prince's I feel 4 U to Chaka's version. Not that I am saying Prince's version is bad - far from it. Just the song seems to suit the cutesy Bangles vibe.

Writing a song doesn't make it suited for you. Of course the Bangle's is better just like Chaka's and Sinead's versions of those songs are superior to his. | |

Girlsongs usually sound a little odd sung by Prince because he sings from the female pov, not changing the genders, but inhabiting a female role. It's interesting, but a good writer can step into different roles like an actor. "So fierce U look 2night, the brightest star pales 2 Ur sex..." | |

I prefer THE FAMILY's version of NOTHING COMPARES 2 U.
And Appolonia and Prince's version of Manic Monday was really bad.

OK so where did that post go....
I disagree - I think the Prince version is infinitely better - he always takes a song to a completely different level. That's why I was shocked that I liked The Bangles version of Manic Monday more
