but whats with the extra high pitched voice? i know hes been altering his voice like that for the longest time, but the way he did it in this song just doesnt sound right. i dont wanna say he sounds like a chipmunk, but... almost. i kinda dont like that, but i think the music is great.

It was called PFUnk yes.

I like it, it goes on a bit, but it's a good one.

Made as a reaction to various fansites forming the PFU or something.

The one good thing that came out of the Prince fan community acting like assholes .

I think he pulled out the Camille voice (from "Erotic City") for this one.

I loved it. It was indeed PFunk and the high pitched voice is what he calls his alter ego, "Camille". So technically "Camille" was "sent" by him to get back at the fan community sites. I think I had just joined this site when the song came out.

Love it, one of his later day classics. I always wondered how new it was tho, or if it was some 1987 outtake.

yeah, but the voice isnt the same as it was when he used to use it. its squeakier in this song and higher pitched. it doesnt sound as much like him to me.

Yes. I was very saddened, but not shocked, by the news.

still haven't heard it. thanks for clarifying though that it was renamed. I thought it and PFunk were two different tracks.

People always say he makes his best material when he's pissed or hungry for something new. I guess someone needs to inspire the former. Ironically you think he create more of these tracks with the tirades he's been in lately but no he's "taking a break".
