I just got a copy of this show and I gotta say it's probabaly Prince's greatest show in ages. Prince, Michael B., Sonny T., no filler, no unncessesary instruments, no women singing or dancing all over the stage. Three bad-ass musicians playing an amazing rock show. It's what Prince should have been doing all these years instead of dicking around with nonsense.

@ CallMeSir, may I ask what version you have, is it the one on Akashic Records?

If so, then there is a slightly better version (imo) on Eye Records, here is some info http://discrockplace.co.jp/page092.html

Anyway, whichever version you have, it sure is a great show.

I'm happy with what he's doing now, but if was just him, a bass player and drummer that would be great. As for this show excellent, but the versions available are fairly ordinary. Absolutely no disrespect for the efforts in briniging it to us, but if the soundboard would fall off the back of a truck... that would be another story.

Is there a difference between that and The Power Trio set? Because the tracklist is almost identical.

Is there a difference between that and The Power Trio set? Because the tracklist is almost identical.

The eye and Akashic releases both have the same power trio set, but they differ slightly in quality. The eye set also includes the two other gigs that Prince played that night, "3 gigs, 3 bands, 1 day." The 1st show was a regular kind of set played at the the nokia theatre, then there was the power trio set at the conga rooms, then a jazzier sort of set at club nokia..all in the same day.

I'm curious too. But I would imagine it would be that Prince is just being the unreliable, pain in the ass that he is. Prince is a master bridge burner.

From what I've heard, Michael B wasn't too thrilled that after the show at the Conga Room, Prince split and didn't have a way home arranged for Michael and Sonny. They were pissed about this.

I think the one I originally got was the good one you mentioned. I just downloaded the rest of the tracks from the other disks.

I just listen to it today again I forgot How great this show was!!

but they played leno with him. since when does prince arrange travel
