Just do it, Rd. Of course, it will hurt at first but you'll feel much better for it. nod

It hurts as in it takes a lot out of me--its very personal to me etc.

At a guess, I would say Rd's choices are...

Favourite - 1999
Best - Sign O The Times
Most successful - Controversy

Very good topic! There is a definite distinction between "best" and "favorite" although not everyone seems to understand.

"1999" and "Lovesexy" are my favorite Prince albums. I really can't separate them in terms of enjoyment. However, I do believe that "1999" is indeed his best album. It was Prince at his hungriest, Prince at his most fierce, Prince on a mission to prove his worth. It is an opus that deserves more than the scant accolades it receives!

Favorite is personal, and isn't in need of the same criteria for everybody for that reason. Most successful (in commercial terms) is what sold the most. Numbers back that up. The only thing to debate is what one considers his "best" album.

To inquire would be futile. biggrin

i'm glad u say dat, cause i've never been the batman album fan myself, actually, i hate dat one! it's the worst thing Prince has ever done!!!

I've discovered the joy and funk of Princes mystery world through the Gold Experience, now that one was REALLY touching. with the P Control song and all the sexx stuff. I'm listening 2 it right now!

then came the purple rain, that was also some great songs on it... thought, some of them i've never liked and never will...

the FAVORITE one of mine: the truth is, i can't decide such a thing! they're all good, some of them better. i prefer graffiti bridge instead of chaos and disorder

So does that mean The Truth is your favourite or Graffiti Bridge? Interesting choices, by the way.
