Come, album version, yea or nay!

Nobody ever mentions this song, beyond the shitty unreleased version. You have great horns blaring, wonderful chorus, great pop r&b vibe. The lyrics are hilarious, uber porny. The best line:

"Oooooo baby you're so good, oooooooooo baby you're so good, oh shut up!"

lol

The song may be a bit longish, but it's loads of funky fun.

All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!

Big yay. Not really a bad version of this track, wasted opportunity for single/project.

I like the eleven minute album version. From about 9:07 on is one of the most joyous bits of music he has ever done. It makes me feel all warm and tingly.

Big yay.

Great melody, great horns, great build up towards the end.

I used to get really lost with this track when listening to it with headphones as a teenager. I loved to put on the Come album on and sort of fall "half asleep" while listening to it. Them were the days.

I also got introduced to the idea of cunnilingus via this track. lol

I like the album version, but I think I prefer every other version to it.

BIG YAY! So funny and awesome!

COME!

Which has to be one of the most played songs for me. lol. "Come" is very nasty.

I agree it's one of his best lines when he says that!

"Oooooo baby you're so good, oooooooooo baby you're so good, oh shut up!"

It kind of makes sense..lol. It shows the ego and pride of some people have within sex. It's like yeah, I know I am good, but I am good only because I want to make you come..Hahaha

"Like a splendid, open ended
Celibate friend, pretending
Not 2 know it when I blow it
In your eyes
Like a strawberry , chocolate
Fender jazz, mashed potato, fuzztone
All over your thighs"

It's Button Therapy, Baby!

Awesomely funky tune, with a great slice of that mid-90s Prince bad attitude.

I don't really enjoy the slurping noises, but other than that, I love the progression and it's never boring - A great song to just get lost in.

V10LETBLUES

I agree this is a great track. though the pussy licking noises are too high up in the mix and distract from the great music. Other than that the tack is awesome.

To me Come keeps better with time. No pun intended. One of his best aging 90's albums along with The Truth.

The Beautiful Experience version is my favourite, but the album version (as disappointing as it was was when I got the CD home on release day) is good too.

Album version kind of sucks and he toned down the lyrics and got rid of "Shut up! This is just so you...come".

Best version is from DNA Lounge aftershow from April 1993.

The album version is a work of art.

None of the 4 or 5 unreleased version comes even close.

Who says NAY to come??!?!?

But I must admit when I first heard it I thought the lyrics was gross and cheap. But at the same time it's so addictive!!

i do like the album version but the licking/sucking part is not needed IMO, i think my favourite version is the version that appears on The Dawn, it's the same as TBE but a more live feel. The Come album is near perfect, i do wish the poem parts were removed and added together as a single track.

the "let me suck u" part is pretty gross but other than that it's a quite pleasing opus of a song. that said, the live band version that segues into the live Endorphinmachine is probably my favorite. so funky and raw, and combined with that version of Endorphin, is one of his best 1-2 punches ever.

makes u feel dirty listening to it. lol. the bassline is one groovy mf and the clarity of the production lets the horns really come through and frame the melody. the slurping is a bit offputting mind, especially in headphones.

don't play me...i'm over 30 and i DO smoke weed....
