i think it leaves a lot to be desired compared to some of the recent videos. too many heads in the way. once somones edited together all the best footage we should get a more watchable video
did you see the video footage i shot from the front row? check my sig ink and look for hop park

although, I am replying to your post, I would like to first say a massive thank you, to whoever spent the entire concert filming this...
it has its moments, confirms that the version of LRC is the best I have ever heard live, but i am only half way through, thank you again whoever had the balls to film it.
I also admit that I agree with you Unique, the preview of the paris show is a different level, i have given that to a camera student who worked on Placebo´s "ashtray girl" video, and he was amazed...
i have not seen the footage you are on about, but i will try check it out...
My main worry, is that people will see this and think...well, you can imagine what they will think.
Although i have to be honest, i have yet to see an amatuer vid, apart from the paris concert, that i actually like...
Spoilt I guess...
If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

^ i have all the prince vids in circulation, the good, the bad and the ugly, and whilst this is far from the worst as at least these days you get a clear image, there are some pretty good cams floating around
and let me also say it's not easy to cam a gig, especially not like hop park as you have to raise your arm for 2+ hours and try and concentrate on filming instead of enjoying the show whilst your arm huts. but i understand it was a morrisey fan that shot this
there was someone closer to me filming the show, but she seemed to turn the camera around and shoot stuff going on beside her more like a home video than a bootleg, so i don't know how that will turn out. perhaps a composite of the two with some close ups from other footage will make a better overall image. one thing that was a shame was that after going through a ton of fan shot clips, the quality was pretty shit as most filmers were far from the stage
there was one guy with a fuckoff massive pro camera with the biggest telephoto lense you've seen on a punter. the camera and lens was about two foot long, no joke

Funny that you mention that. Just minutes ago I was watching this concert and my first thought was: OMG! I sincerely hope that 'We live 2 get funky' is just a stupid live jam and hope he never dares releasing such a crapload...

As i stated before, I dont really like the amatuer video recordings, but i willing still to hold on to this, but only a hardcore fan can get the vibe from it...
In the end, I was at the concert, with a big fan, a newbie and myself, was the best show I have ever seen him do...
BTW I still think Lovesexy is "da bomb" f*** yeah If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

i think that considering he was standing in the middle of jammed packed crowd..whoever did it did a damn fine job and the sound quality is as good as i have heard on a cam so i give whoever it was my thanks and well done...

it is hard to film like that. and he wasn't in the best place to film. usually further back with a zoom helps you avoid heads. this video reminds me of the dvd of the new harry potter film that he got from the car boot sales

Anyone know if this is from the same source as above? Maybe different artwork - with an error at the end of the tracklisting

i'm guessing it is the same source, but i note that says NTSC on the artwork. i presume the first one is in PAL, i haven't checked
i did notice the first dvd was circulating in other places too since yesterday

^^ That second dvd art is even more horrific than the original one.
And to make such a stupid mistake as not getting a song title correct should be enough for anyone to totally ignore it.

It'll do till the official release!! still buzzing from this show

i never spent more than a second looking at the original art. and just a few seconds scanning through the dvds as the quality was so crap. well as it's digital the quality is great, probably great camera etc, it's just too many heads. i've not seen a cammed gig with so many obstructions since the 90s (well i've seen them recently but they were 80s/90s gigs)
