fams on here will bash you for this, but many including myself share the same view. No one is asking Prince to go back into the past, we just crave for the originality and ground breaking releases that drew us to his music in the bigining.

Completely abandoning any and all connections/relations/correspondence/communication with former band members. Trust me, there is DECADES of hurt built up from absolutely no communication with certain former members and it's sickening. People can attack this all day, I know it's the absolute truth, take it or leave it. For people who made this much history together and to not even be on speaking terms is thee one thing he is WAY OFF about.

Oh, and if it's true that Prince reads the org- You really need to acknowledge former band members who had your back for the period that helped put you on the map (I know you publicly acknowledged Bobby)- People that love and miss you- I can tell you now, you have no idea how much sadness lurks in the hearts of certain band members that you have abandoned. I have respect for you and them to the extent that I don't get out of line on here- but it is shameful. I am speaking the truth here, I'm sorry some can't handle the truth on this board, it's real unfortunate. Oh, you should really give Jeff Katz a call too- he's a great photographer who would love to hear from you these days...

Not that I don't understand your opinion but it's not an 'across the board philosophy'. Should the first employer I had in life stay in touch with me or acknowledge me 20 some odd years later? At the end of the day the Revolution, NPG, Lovesexy bands are hired help. They have helped Prince to craft some great music and create some awesome performances but that's their job! No one ever considers that some of the former band members/proteges probably held their tongue back in the day because being around Prince at that time was exciting and they didn't want it to end. It would be nice if they all still got along or even stayed in touch but it's not human nature.

Why would this get on anyone's nerves? I don't know any men of any age that wouldn't date the incredibly beautiful women Prince has dated. Dude is a rock star, a major music icon, rich, and famous. Do you really believe think he's going to date a woman his age or older when he has all these young fantastic looking model types throwing themselves at him? If so, you are living in a fantasy world. Men love beautiful women.

Three things:

1. Not taking his time to make a really good record. He's so talented and has such a large body of work to reflect on and see what works. I thought he was going in the right direction with LOTUSFLOWER (single disc), but then came 20TEN.

2. Not remastering or allowing the remastering of his prior work.

3. Not releasing more of his live performances on cd or dvd.

in the Real fans thread,I pointed out that Prince is largely responsible for the "hostile environment" among his fanbase.He doesn't realize (or care) that things like remasters and DVDs of old concerts means ALOT to hardcore fans.

p.s just thought its kinda annoyed me of late that when he comes with an album and tour that he dont throw his heart into gettin the new songs in the set list..i meen thank fuck he didnt do this with Planet Earth @ the o2 but i would have loved 2 hear a lot more from Lotus/MPLS at the shows in 2010

Aye defo, a just meen a seen him in france in 2010 n that was first ad seen him since lotus/mpls came out..n all he did was a rather shit performance ahe old skool kompany 2bh..am chokin 4 plenty af they albums coz am diggin loads tunes aff them man, same with 2010 album, he didnt play any they tunes at arrass n the album was oot in the daily record on the day a came hame..not a massive fan of 2010 but i like a good few tunes, diggin levuax, laydown, act of god, beginning endlesly...wid like him tae 2 play them like in lets say diamonds and pearls times when he played a lot of the songs every night..
