How did this go from Prince's hair being real/fake to black people not being able to grow hair to Oprah again? Rhetorical question.

At the end of the day, we'll have to take the word of the person wearing the hairstyle.

Which hair has the extensions? Chest or Pubic, can't see it on the Ipad.

People really don't know black hair, textures, relaxers, and the benefit of having a damn good hair dresser at your beckon call. Get a clue.

Some people(Prince)have a good head of hair. He may not have the best hair dresser now, like Earl Jones in the 80's and early 90's, but when you have a good hair dresser your hair will grow like wildfire.

nod

Good example is Oprah's hair..

Yes, that is true. But, the more often than not celebs, like Oprah, wear lacefronts. People tend to think because you wear additives and wigs, you don't have hair of your own. That is far from the truth. In the case of wigs and sew-ins, we wear those to protect our hair from potential damage that comes with using flat-irons as such. As far as Prince is concern, from what I've seen, his hair has gone through a lot of changes from cd to cd. He may have utilized additives at times.

The only people who can't grow hair are dead people, because even bald men gotta trim the hair in the nape of their neck (or around their ears) every couple of weeks or so.

I did the Prince hair for the movie Purple of the Rain. I will must tell you, it was silky smooth and bouncy. There was no weaving to the hair, weaving is for the baskets. Instead we used a new secret Hollywood approach to the Prince hair. It was Chia hair. First we lather the head with the nutrient gel, and sprinkle on the Chia seed. First two days, nothing, then BOOM. Chia hair pop out like Brittany Spear's gooney. Chia hair comes out green, but we flush it over with hydro carbonic sulfuric.... uh potassium acid. It turn very dark and fluffy silky. But this not the hair you should ask about. You should instead be the asking about Wendy's hair and how we make that cliff with a vine hanging from the front. It very hard to do. We had to shave her down and grow her hair back in a box on her head for fourteen months. We remove the box and the hair going no place. The vine in the front was cg.

Join me next month and we will talk about Appolonia's nudity shooting by the lake. It take one year to shoot for the Prince would jump on her every time she open the jacket. Very frustrating.

We are all so full of doody here

Watching Purple Rain on an Ipad makes it painfully obvious that this amazing look was with the help of extensions.I know this has been debated forever but the clarity of the video on the Ipad makes Princes hair look without question artificial. If anyone has some inside info that could prove otherwise I'd love to hear it. In any case it's actually very disappointing. I thought for years it was real.

So the clarity of your Ipad has raised your suspicions about Prince's hair in a movie he made more than 25 years ago and you find the possibility of him using hair extensions disappointing....really?

Whether they were extensions or not, why would that bother anyone over 25 years later? eek

Are you trying to get people to buy Ipads? lol

Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

I know that oprah has a huge head full of long hair- BUT I dont believe for one minute that she does not wear hair pieces- I have watched her "behind the scenes show" and I have seen the hair pieces- There is nothing wrong with wearing wigs, quick weaves or phony ponies people.... nod

LOVE HARD.

not surprising, Prince wrote hair for chaka, it's also for him wink

people ask me everywhere, is it REALLY all of your hair ...

yes it's his hair, u can clearly see it the remastered version of PR and in livesexy, and in nude tour ...

actually, I never thought Prince's hair wasn't his own in PR. I thought it was a jheri curl because he had that look. You know, a lot of "baby" hair around his hairline and especially the back of his neck.

But someone told me he had either a wet set or hot curling irons. Either way, his hairdresser, Jill Jones' uncle (I think his name was Earl Jones) was great at his craft. Truly because Prince's hair went from a bushy afro to looking like he had "good hair" with large curly locks naturally.

But I don't see how people could think that was not his hair. Look at his hair prior to PR. His hair is past his shoulders when straightened. Think how much volume would be created if below the shoulder length hair is curled up to above the ear or just at ear level. That is a lot of hair; puffed out.
