Montreux soundboard? Fuck yeah! The stream of soundboards pretty much dried up more than a decade ago, and to have one surface from a relatively recent and great show is exciting. Prince could have put this out himself (I would have loved an official DVD), but instead he let the bootleggers beat him to it. Oh well, I will be getting it for free now.

I just ordered a copy and I can't wait for it to arrive. I normally don't buy boots, but if it's a high quality soundboard with a great setlist, I got to have it. Outside of the Musicology soundboard (which was average) and the Vega show, I don't remember the last time there was a soundboard recording of great material. What I'd really love to hear from the soundboard is Whole Lotta Love Paris. That show was great and much stonger than the Vega show.

Um, no. Sure wasn't. If anything, I said I'm glad he's decided to add a real rhythm guitarist to the band, for the first time in years. Unfortunately, she's so damn low in the mix, she basically makes no damn difference! Lol!

Regarding Montreux 2009. How does it compare to: Prince - Montreux Jazz Festival 2009 (4DaFunk) in terms of sound quality?

I have three songs from one of those shows and it sounds like I'm at the venue but, at the very back!

Boring..... actually most Prince concerts, bootlegs are after all those years a bit boring to me.

When I listen to Prince it's STILL mainly his studio albums on WB. (With very few live exceptions).

I will never be bored listen to those... Lovesexy, Parade, SOTT, PR, 1999...... etc etc

Don't hate me, I just can't appreciate this....

I'm speechless. It's already my fav boot ever. It is a dream. The musicianship is just woaw. The sound, the voice, John, Rhonda, Renato. The amazing work on the Strat. It's a bloody fantastic record. A classic.

I'm downloading these now. They better be good because the files are a lot smaller than usual.

It's mellow but it's musician ship is great.

I really think he got to some lengths of this together with Renato.

Choice of songs is quite bold compared to the 20xx and I really like he tried and worked this.

Listening to the new stuff now with my son.

(He's 5 and friday is music day. last month was Jimi month )
