As a counter to the doom laden, 10 worst songs of the 80s, what are his ten best. The songs must off any of these albums, Dirty Mind, Controversy, 1999, Purple Rain, ATWIAD, Parade, SOTT, Lovesexy, Batman and their Bsides. Also acceptable are 1980s songs off Crystal Ball.

Not acceptable are concert only songs like How much is that doggie in the window and unreleased stuff like Moonbeam Levels and Xtra Loveable.

Also not acceptable are any songs that were released by Proteges like the Time, Apollonia etc, so if you choose Get it up or Nasty Girl it dosen't count, even the Prince version.

We are a doom laden pessimistic lot, why is it the thread on the 10 worst songs has run into its 6th page or nearly 175 replies, yet this version is struggling at 16 replies and 3 of those are flippant. Got we are a bad of sad sacks. Is it any wonder Prince wants to shut us down.
