Was wondering if Prince ever spoke about David Bowie?

I figured he would be a big influence but who knows

According to the Bowie bio of David Buckley, Prince, Madonna and, to a lesser extent, MJ were (are?) all Bowie fans during the Ziggy/White Duke era...

Rumor says (can't find the link) that Bowie said Prince basically ruled the 80's or something like that...

I don't know if Prince has ever spoken about Bowie, but he did attend two shows on Bowies tour of 1987.

Prince attends David Bowie's concert at the St. Paul Civic Center.

A Private screening of the Sign O The Times film was held in a rented Minneapolis theatre for Bowie and his camp. Afterwards, there was a party at Paisley Park for Bowie's group of people.

2nd Oct 1987.

Prince attends David Bowie's second show at the St. Paul Civic Center.

dunno if prince is a bowie fan, i know i am though! bowie was a massive fan of 80s prince, remember him saying in the late 80s that prince was the best live act he'd ever seen.

I did not know that.

Think he gave propps to the 1999 album as well I read somewhere?
