Books on Prince

I have read most of the books that have been written about Prince, last being Possessed, apart from the Vault, which I dont have or the 3rd edition of Per Nilsens Documentary, is there a book or two that are worth getting

If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

The Vault is a great source of information, but it's not really the type of book you can read from start to finish.

I suppose the "Days Of Wild - Chronology" section is the most interesting part (imo) of the book to read, it reads like a diary of Prince's life from his birth up to and including 2004, and is very detailed and useful.

The rest of the book is interesting, but is really just lists of things and/or facts.

Great book to have though if you can find one without paying over the odds.

Harlepolis

I have tried to find a reasonable price for that damn book,,,,,,,the few offers I came across at least because there're NO traces of it now.

This is the one book about Prince' music that I intend to find in the near future, hopefully my patience won't run out lol

I don't know if I can suggest this book given that I haven't read it yet, but it looks interesting enough:

Thanks for the tip on this book, looks like something I would like...if anyone has a digital copy of the Vault, I know a great site where it can be uploaded, here is the link:

There was talk on here before about getting The Vault available as a PDF, a couple of people said they were definitely going to do it, but nothing so far, and that was a while ago now.

I thought about doing it, but it's a lot of work, plus it would probably mean seperating the pages from the book to get a quality scan, not sure i'd want to do that.

Maybe someone will do it one day though.

I am gonna scout around for this book, I love the Per Nilsen books, so I imagine I would enjoy this as well.

It's a nice thing to have, but prices can be insane, a couple (?) of months back one sold on ebay for almost £400 which is utterly ridiculous.

I got mine for (if I remember) £100 from Per himself, he was selling a few extra copies from the org.

Prices can vary like crazy but if you are patient enough you will probably get one for a fair enough price, it won't be cheap though.
