This is the US version of the BBC Omnibus docu from years ago ('91?)

This version has slightly different footage and interviews (not with Prince).

Thanks for the heads up. I have Sky Arts on my favourites list as they have some cool concerts and documentaries on there.

I've been waiting for ages for them to show something Prince-ly.

They are currently running a huge summer festivals series and was hoping Hop Farm might get an airing, but alas it doesn't look like it will.

I agree that Hop Farm show should definately get an airing it was amazing....if someone asked me why I am a fan, all I would do is show them that show, wouldn't need to give any reasons after that

thanks for heads up man. Just watching it on sky+ now. Must say I've watched my omnibus DVD umpteen doezen times but this alternate version makes it very worth while.

It's a shame you missed the Hop Farm gig, it was my best Prince concert ever (although only my 5th, to me it beat ONA and the 3x 02 shows i saw) mostly due to Prince's fun behaviour and a cool atmosphere!! You could get a really good view too after scrabbling through the crowd a bit!!

^^^ It is the best documentary on Prince to this date IMO. Enjoy it, when you find it! There is some great footage on there.

I've been dying to see that documentary but missed it last night as I only just saw this thread, looked a couple of weeks ahead and it seems its the only thing that sky arts won't repeat a million times.... typical

my girlfriend recorded it because she rules, and knows id be rather excited, and i was indeed!!! It was cool until it kinda went off track about Princes recording studio and just about Princes sexuality.
