I'd say The Truth... Of all my iTunes list, Don't play me is the song I've played the most. Yeah, I love Graffiti Bridge movie, so what? ''Oooooooooooh Montreal, say it!''
If you can't be nice to someone on the net, you probably ain't worth much talking to in real life either.

As much as I love the Truth, The Rainbow Children is his best post WB project.

1) You didn't piss me off. 2) Sorry you were one of them that got pissed off. 3) My reply wasn't directed at just you, many people don't like either of those albums. 4) It's okay to not like those albums, that your choice and there isn't anything wrong with that. 5) It is also okay to not be a die hard fan, casual Prince fans are good people too. 6) I never said there was a test you or anyone had to pass, they are all just opinions, even mine. 7) You've "been with the little guy since..1996"? I've been with the little guy since I was 10, 1980! I don't think that matters much but it seems like it does to you so I thought you'd like to know. 8) Like I said in another reply in this same thread, any Prince album is either less or more inspired, not really so much good or bad. I think his best ones are the more inspired ones, Purple Rain, Gold Experience, Lovesexy, Sign O The Times, Rainbow Children to name a few. Less inspired IMO would be, New Power Soul, Lotusflower, 3121, 20Ten to name a few. Remember, this is just my "Steaming piles of shit with chunks of corn in them" OPINION. 9) It's not nice to call me or anyone else names. 10) I didn't call you any names.
PS. I DO know what I am and I could be a "ribbon bully" but I have know idea what that is, never heard of it. [Edited 7/5/11 9:01am] [Edited 7/5/11 9:08am] [Edited 7/5/11 9:09am] ..."holding someone is truly believing"

1) you didn't piss me off either, so I guess that makes us even. 2) see number one. 3) fair enough. 4) fair enough. 5) fair enough. 6) when you said that if a person doesn't love Lovesexy and The Rainbow Children that means they are only a casual fan I interpreted that as a test. If you love those two albums you pass and are a true fan, if you don't love those two albums you are just a casual fan. If that is what you were saying I strongly disagree. 7) eh, I was merely illustrating that for roughly 15 years, nearly half my life, I have been a huge fan of Prince. I've been following him very closely for those fifteen years and do not consider myself a casual fan. 8) eh, to me it looked like you were claiming that your opinions were facts. 9) did I call you names? I said you were full of shit. I didn't say you were shit. I was attacking the premise that to be a "true" fan (whatever that is) you need to love Lovesexy and The Rainbow Children. I don't think I ever actually insulted you. If I did I apologise. Sorry for insulting you. 10) Not directly but you implied I was a, gasp, "casual fan!" To a hardcore Prince fan that is a huge insult!
Allow me to solve the mystery of the ribbon bully:
I guess I would be Kramer and you would be the various people telling me that I must wear the ribbon.

BTW, in my next reply in this thread I did say it was just a matter of opinion and taste.
Saying I'm full of shit isn't calling me a name but it still isn't nice. I was referring to calling me a ribbon bully. Not a bad insult but I didn't know what it was.
I'm not saying a true Prince fan should like those albums, but IMHO, I think a true Prince fan would like them and "get it".
Sorry to insult your Prince fan status if that's what I did. But honestly, I see so called Prince fans on The org bash TRC and Lovesexy all the time, these albums are unbelievable!!! Think about it, who does albums like these?!?!?!?

I love The Truth but TRC wins it for me. Most of you have already said it. This is a masterpiece. I would put it in his top ten of all time. Religious lyrics and all it is great. It goes right up there with PR, Parade, ATWIAD, Controversy, etc. for me.

The Truth sounds boring to me, whereas TRC sounds very inspired and very musical to my ears. Likk Harlepolis I'm blessed with a built in filter for the lyrics, I'm able to completely ignore the lyrics of a song if/when I enjoy the music à lot. So for me it is an absolute no-brainer: TRC is the winner, bigtime! RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

HAHA I LOVE HOW EVERY THREAD ENDS UP WITH PEOPLE HAVING TO EXPLAIN THEMSELVES! IT GENERALLY ALWAYS GOES OFF TOPIC...JUST SAYING I NOTICED!

It's always educational.
I learned I'm just a casual fan.

TRC is Prince's last great work of music he has put out on CD. (Although some of the lyrics are like what the f*ck?) I love Prince acoustically (see Musicology tour), but The Truth just (as a whole) not up to par. The Truth is good just not great. 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment
