It's silly to say that if someone dooesn't like two albums they are a casual fan. I don't like Diamonds and Pearls but I still listen to it a lot. I find both Lovesexy and The Rainbow Children to be severely flawed but I still listen to them a lot. There's no test that we all have to pass. I buy the albums and listen to them. Some of them I like more than others. I've been with the little guy since I bought Chaos and Disorder in the summer of 1996 and I'm going to be with him until the day I die. Maybe in your eyes I'm not a "true" fan but there is so much more to Prince than two albums.

8) Like I said in another reply in this same thread, any Prince album is either less or more inspired, not really so much good or bad. I think his best ones are the more inspired ones, Purple Rain, Gold Experience, Lovesexy, Sign O The Times, Rainbow Children to name a few.

Less inspired IMO would be, New Power Soul, Lotusflower, 3121, 20Ten to name a few. Remember, this is just my "Steaming piles of shit with chunks of corn in them" OPINION.

Saying I'm full of shit isn't calling me a name but it still isn't nice. I was referring to calling me a ribbon bully. Not a bad insult but I didn't know what it was.

I'm not saying a true Prince fan should like those albums, but IMHO, I think a true Prince fan would like them and "get it".

Sorry to insult your Prince fan status if that's what I did. But honestly, I see so called Prince fans on The org bash TRC and Lovesexy all the time, these albums are unbelievable!!! Think about it, who does albums like these?!?!?!?

I love The Truth but TRC wins it for me. Most of you have already said it. This is a masterpiece. I would put it in his top ten of all time. Religious lyrics and all it is great. It goes right up there with PR, Parade, ATWIAD, Controversy, etc. for me.

I love the truth and the acoustic sound of "The Truth". However the TRC in terms of production and conveyed meaning, just cites to me Prince was all the way within this project. I feel the emotions and truths in this. While I don't agree with all of "Jehovah Witness" Overshadowing as being the one and only truth, you can feel the truth in some form. AHH..I am going on a tangent.lol..THE RAINBOW CHILDREN Wins in my book! Haha

TRC is Prince's last great work of music he has put out on CD. (Although some of the lyrics are like what the f*ck?) I love Prince acoustically (see Musicology tour), but The Truth just (as a whole) not up to par. The Truth is good just not great.
