Prince finally realized that his 'fanbase' rather dissect his interviews, critique his clothes, give him financial advice, pick his girlfriends/wives, choose his band members, tell him what he can play at live shows and discuss wheter he's bald or not more than listen to music. So no new CDs.

I would tend to agree with this, which is unfortunate. Only a few of us were truly appreciating his current releases. 'Lotusflower' was one of the best albums within his history.

noone care about his new music so why release anymore. Hell, most dont even care about his old music hence all of the covers he has to play now just to get the crowd involved. He is done as far as releasing new music

well, I have to say that I absolutely disagree, I do care about his new releases,

New sounds can't do us wrong, I mean in my concern, am willing to listen to new type, new style, whatever it might be as long as it's in harmony, as long as I can feel the music inside of me

Although Prince's new music hasn't been groundbreaking in any way in the last 10 years, I feel that every new album still has a few tunes worth having and listening to. So for me I do appreciate new Prince albums, and I hope he'll never stop releasing them.

Having said that, I believe he won't stop releasing new albums. He might take a temporarily break, but as sure as the sun sets everyday Prince will keep on releasing new music...
RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

I should have clarified. When I meant noone cares I am refering to the mass public. Of course his die hard fans on this site care. I still buy his stuff(even though I dont have 20ten but will buy anything he puts in stores or for download). His diehard fans are the only ones buying his music and there just are not enough of us anymore to warrant him putting out a cd. He makes no money. Money is all Prince cares about nowadays. Final result it just doesnt make sense to release anything anymore. Now if Prince was still in it for the music and his fans...now that would be a different story. But we ALL know deep down he does not care for us at all.

Of course he will.

Remember last time he spoke of retirement (1993), that was before one of his most prolific periods!

As Alan Leeds said back then "There are 3 things you can be sure of in life. We are born, We die, Prince will make another record"

He's been right so far!!

I'd be happy to talk about his new music, I'm just waiting for it.. and I don't want to piss people by creating threads about music or films that have already been talked about and are too soon closed and where I'm unable to answer anymore, so I go with the flow and talk about boring and useless things, waiting for him to release new music so we have more interesting things to talk about wink

My question and matter concern all new material Prince might release and how will he release them? ..

As Prince has told to "the Parisian's" newspaper, accordingly to this paper, Prince won't release any CDs, recordings, anymore..?

Well, so, can someone or Prince himself tell me, how will we his "favorite audience", be able to get to new sounds, melodies and songs in the future?

As internet isn't a faithful media, as radios yes , indeed all of them don't broadcast interesting vibes and waves nowadays...

Nevertheless, internet is the media onto which fans and people stick on whenever they are willing to discover artists and their work..

Some radios, few but still are striving to promote real music, not only commercials..

So tell me, Monsieur Prince: what are the issues and solutions left? for us to get to what you work on, to what you want us to listen to?

Thank you in advance for your opinions and answers

Mmm, I think P'll release another album and he'll release it in another medium as he did with the paper in Europe ...

Peace ... & Stay Funky ...

I look forward to new Prince music every year and look forward to talking about that or any of his music and not controversy, sales, girlfriends, etc.

I'm always hoping for new music from Prince, but if he releases it, he should release it everywhere in stores so I can actually buy his music... sad
