Irritated? No. Disbelief? Maybe. Shocked? Yes.

She doesn't look irritated.

She was probably instructed by the director to look shocked, flustered, and like she was about to cry - which I think she conveyed pretty well.

She always look like she was crying, or about to cry to me when I watch it. It was such a powerful moment in the film with Prince coming to terms with himself, and correcting the mistakes he had made in his life.

Also like others said, it's just a movie. 9 times out of 10, it was plan.

Her expression didn't look like she was about to cry. She looked disgusted. That was perfect comic relief during that scene, lol.

Yeah, to me she looks caught off guard and like she was fighting tears.

I actually don't think she was acting and was told to do that, or that Prince was told to kiss her. I think that was them just actually performing and being themselves and whoever was filming, caught that and they decided to keep it and use it in the movie.

I think it's supposed to be her attempt to look overwhelmed at the situation. The Kid just went through a terrible event, (father shooting) and now he seems to have changed. He's even playing one of "their" songs. When I see it, it looks like she's trying to hold back tears. It's seems obvious to me.

Actually, I thought Wendy was full of sadness.

I thought that it would of been a great moment if Prince would of walked over and gave her a peck on the cheek when they performed Purple Rain at the Brit Awards a few years back since they hadn't performed the song together in so long.

You all suck as Prince fans. Didnt you read the 86 Rolling Stone article on W&L where Wendy talks about how when they get close she makes those faces because she gets nervous etc with that but loves it even so? The same thing happens in the Kiss video.

In the Purple Rain movie that was acting direction to look like she was about to cry from the emotion of the moment. The director really pushed for a lot of emotional moments from everyone! Why didn't he direct "Graffiti Bridge"????? It would have been som much better. Same goes for Under the Cherry Moon. He ghost directed the SOTT concert film, all the outtakes list him as director in the clapboard. Ha.

In Kiss it was supposed to be funny.
