Is it time for a new Band name? Is it time for a new band name? Do you think "New Power Generation" is way played out? He's been using that since early 90's. Time for a change in my opinion.

This is PRINCE we're talking about. New Kids On The Block were an actual GROUP.
Anyways Prince been stalling since 1996. There IS no New Power Generation. It's only in name. The REAL NPG left YEARS ago (Michael Bland, Tommy Barbarella, Tony M, Levi Seacer, Mayte, etc.). | |

Yes! Really, the name NPG should have been retired after 1996.
1997-2000 was a transition time with people coming in & out of the fold, so a band name wouldn't have made much sense.
The 2001 - 2004 band should have had its own name, IMHO. JB, Rhonda & Renato were a distinct unit.
During 2005 - 2011, there's been a lot of people coming in & out again, so again a band name wouldn't make much sense (but that doesn't mean that NPG should still be used).
I'd love it if a new group coalesces and a new band name is introduced.
