I think many people on here should realise that not everyone was alive for Purple Rain. That was 27 years ago.

^ Correction:
You mean alive for Parade, and it was 25 years ago. Prince 4Ever.

Really, people should realise that not everyone was alive/old enough in the 80's in general.

If you put the pic up on imageshack or something, I'll see what I can do on Photoshop if you want, see if I can shrink it but keep the quality

I bought my CD copy there for $5. I wasn't aware that album was dirty. I don't think it is. What's really surprising is that stores still sell Prince albums besides Purple Rain.

Listen to it and give us your opinion. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

I like your question. When I discovered the music of Prince five years ago, I just started listening every album I could manage to have. At first I downloaded everything, but at this moment I've bought every album (few exceptions).
The fun part is that I listened to an outtake version of Parade before I heard the actual album. It's called 'Charade' (don't ask for it), but you can find it if you want to listen to it. It doesn't include Kiss and some other songs. The songs are less polished and very interesting to listen to. And it includes 'There's Others Here With Us' and 'All In My Dreams', two very nice unreleased songs. For me it was a strange experience to here the outtake album before the official one. But that's how it happened and the Parade era will always have a special place in my heart
But really, listen to Parade a few times and you'll enjoy it or at least think it's interesting. What other albums have you listen to yet? Which others are you curious about? Have a look at 'The W2A: Euro Tour Song Survey' http://prince.org/msg/12/362417

I've always regarded "Parade" as the middle album in the psychedelic trilogy, bookended by Around the World in a Day and Sign O the Times. "There is two kinds of music, the good, and the bad. I play the good kind."

I like 4 songs on this cd. Its one of the worst to me BUT it is better than
news ONA Piano 20ten new power soul musicology for you black album chocolate invasion slaughterhouse xpectation mplssound
Dang!! after seeing it is better than all of these I guess it goes in the bottom half now and not "one of the worst" because it IS WAY better than those listed up top. I like Mountains, Anotherlover, girls and boys and I used to like Kiss(but Prince has overplayed this so much I hate it now. I did like it originally though so I will include it)
Its worth having though for those songs(especially for 6 bucks, cant beat that price)

It's one of those albums that at the time I listened to all the time but I don't really listen to now. It is good though - shame that Love or $ wasn't included on it as love that song. Standout for me is Girls and Boys.

"Parade" was a huge step down from "Around the world in a day". That's my opinion.

I only just heard Parade and don't like it. This is not a good track.

You've had the CD for a couple weeks now. What do you think? Favorites? Least favorites? Overall? Don't hate your neighbors. Hate the media that tells you to hate your neighbors.
