I doubt it... I think that his career should be just fine. Dino Merlin has got quite a legendary status in Ex-Yugoslavian countries, so this shouldn't hurt his reputation at all. Most people won't really care. Sadly, in this area, stealing other people's music and giving credit to yourself was (and sometimes still is) very common.

On a related note, a radio station here in Slovena has been using the beggining of Shhh as an intro to a show for many years. When I first heard Shhh I was pissed as hell, because all I could think about was that radio show... Couldn't appreciate the song in all its brilliance for quite a while. I am pretty sure this was done without permission too. I hate it when people rip off artists like this.

yes i'm sure i have seen album credits and Dino Merlin credited himself as being the author

of the song.

He have other rippoffs of Michael Jackson,Simply Red and others.
