that's good. I'm a pretty neurotic person, so it is probably my imagination. BY THE POWER INVESTED IN ME BY GOD ALL NEGATIVITY BOWS

I think so. Listening to the song I realize that this is Prince's way of stating his ideas of what his life is reflecting. 1 is him, 1 is her (whoever she may be), and 1 is God who is the ruling deity, in other words "theocratic order". Anybody who cannot get with the program of 1+1+1 is 3 or theocracy is banished as a nonbeliever, of which he has no mercy for, hence the "tap, tap, tap...". But, this is just my opinion.

i always took the tap tap tap to be the sound of JW's knocking on our door. hes biggin up the JW missionaries here, telling them he is gonna join 'em onthe door knocking thing. Now that would be a JW you would let past your front door. lol even if it was just to get a closer look at his heels.

'Who's that knocking on my door, didn't we just throw u out before?'
That sounds like my reaction to a JW knocking at my door...

I took it as a rebuke to the idea of the "Trinity" in Christianity. As I (barely) understand it, JW's don't really buy into it. Moreover, during the soundcheck last year in Dallas, this freaky chick started rambling about the Trinity and a bunch of other stuff and Prince made a point to say something like "There's no Trinity here tonight, just one God" (I'm paraphrasing big time).
