AMA Lifetime Achievement Award I watched this the other day when he played all thenew songs from Gold Experience and he "performed" nd then spoke..while gnashing the hell outta some gum.It reminded me of him on American Bandstand. He was soo nervous.he tried to play it off like he was cool ,but he was so nervous he almost couldn't catch his breath. It reminded me of some experiences I've had speaking in front of the public. There is a great wave of every fear you've ever had, every doubt about yourself coming thouggh, you almost are about to faint, but you suddenly realize that you just said something that made the crowd laugh and you relax in that knowledge.then you get all cocky and the freakin' sandman has to come out and get your super salty ham ass of the stage because you were cool and cute about 4 minutes ago and now you're just a mentally masturbating loser!! *sorry* I got carried away. But,that was interesting to watch. That was a very tight performance on the 1995 ama's. I remember watching that with some friends of mine the night they aired it. Our jaws hit the floor. Sure, it wasnt some landmark guitar solo or anything like that, but it was very slick nonetheless.

Yes the trick entrance with him disguised as one of the dancers was tight.
Too bad the purple medley sounded so plastic (thanks a lot Kirky J ) but the sneak preview into the Gold Experience tracks was way cool. Hmmm, who has this on video and wants to hook a brother up? I like watching that every once in a while...Kinda funny 2 see him at the end being apart of the "We Are The World" semi reunion with Quincy turning towards P and giving him a look thinking..."look man your up here on stage sucking on a damn lollipop when everyone else is singing, take that thing out your mouth and show some respect"...Seeing Prince was expected 2 B apart of the We Are The World recording. But Prince offering Q a taste of his lollipop and then Quincy leaning his head & opening his mouth and bobbing as if he really wanted some was a funny rare moment.

I enjoyed His Performance that Night.also once&for all Dick Clark is as MainStream as you can get&Prince was Being Honored so it's not like the Cat has Been "White-Balled" Entirely by the Industry because MR.Dick Clark carries alot of Weight in the Business.as for the Medley: Hey that's on Prince he is the person who okays whatever comes on His Work.I dug How Prince thanked so many people.I remember all the Brothers taking the stage to Sing "U Will Know" as well.D'angelo Co-Wrote that Cut.R.Kelly,Gerlad Levert,Tevin Campbell,El Debarge,etc.. turned that Song out Live. mistermaxxx

I thought it disrespectful to Prince. He is asked to sing on We Are The World but turns them down and gives them a song instead. He is then trashed by the media for not participating and then, 10 years later, they expect him to get up on stage and play sing along? I think Prince handled it very well because if i were him I would have pulled down my pants and shit on the stage.
