Jones, crude slang for a penis, usually belonging to a Black Man, also known as a Lovejones. Jones can also mean a sexual appetite or desire from a man. Having a Jones means you need to work off some building sexual eagerness/tension. I was always under the impression it was what I said before - "jones" as in the grunge term meaning "a rule" "away of doing things" which makes sense with the "...I can't have a hug unless I have a kiss" Where as I have a penis Martha...I can't have a hug unless I have a kiss" sounds a little odd and threatening - it's like saying "you started this Martha, I'm a man so what so you expect that now I want more and more".  | |

I always thought, LRC was pretty genius in that you really had to listen to get it. Some of the others are obvious metaphors. Prince is definately the king of sexual metaphors! Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol | |

funny, I never knew there were so many meanings to the word "jones" this is what I think it means: A Jones (Noun), or Jonesing (Verb), describes a state in which one experiences a strong desire or craving, as in drug habit withdrawals now don't go freaking out...it doesn't have to pertain to drugs....it can be anything you are having a strong desire for. As in Martha, be that a woman named Martha or a womans parts. "not a fan"  yeah...ok | |
