I think lyrically this song shows how much Prince has evolved as a critical thinker about political issues and the state of the world. Thats one of the reasons why I love it. How are these lyric's junior high level and LRC not? I love Princes sexy songs, but Im really feeling his more mature political voice he is excersizing a lot more in his recent work.

I was just thinking about how f'ed up the world is right now and wondering why people weren't prioritizing things like the health of the people and planet over fame and material possessions. Why are a majority of us so apathetic and complacent, handing our power over to a few people who would rather see people die than to loose any of their accumulated monetary wealth. Prince is talking about Colonized Minds...it's extremely relevant and Im thrilled that he is writing about it.
