How do I say this? It's definitely no Purple Rain, duh, but it's a WHOLE LOT more enjoyable than Grafitti Bridge. That being said, I still find Under The Cherry Moon pretty unwatchable. I like GB even though it's like a musical put on by middle school students.
I kinda get where he was trying to go with it.

^ I know it's ridiculous, and I know it sounds stupid, but I have to admit it. I LOVE the soundtrack to Grafitti Bridge. The movie gives me chronic diarrhea, but damn, if the soundtrack isn't good. I love this movie. It.s a great late night o even a Sunday matinee. The comedic efforts are funny as heck and music is fantastic. Kristen Scott Thomas - great acting debut. | |

Certain parts of Cherry Moon make me go
Graffiti Bridge...awful. The sad part is that GB is the most honest I think Prince has ever been with us. The whole spirituality thing...no one understands him...his muse trying to tell him not to give up...trying to be a badass (Tick Tick Bang) and getting laughed at...
I felt sorry for him as I sat in the theater opening night (the only time I've ever watched GB from beginning to end). Around that time is when the Has Been talk started to sprout up and I really felt for him.

but overall....AWESOME!!!! Loved it! My favorite of all 4 of his films though I get why people praise PR.I thought it was an awesome movie, not to mention that Prince was pretty freakin HOTTT!!! I'll shock you with my lips. | |
