Strange Relationship SOTT Vs Dream Factory version I think Prince messed up.The version on SOTT is not as good as the one on Dream Factory. The Indian style strings were excellant and the whole song sounded more punchy. On SOTT it's one of the songs i skip.Anyone agree?

It's difficult to judge, I've yet to hear a decent quality
copy of the original Dream Factory version.

Just found an excellent quality version...I'll get back to you when I've heard it.

The Dream Factory version is good - especially the intro and build up to the melody
But the SOTT version just edges it for me - mainly for the vocal and its a bit more funky

Okay...I am impressed with the Dream Factory version. But there isn't enough "kick" in the drums compared to the SOTT version. Which is what I loved about the SOTT version. It "supplies the funk".
So I guess my answer is no, it's not as good. But it is very interesting to hear an early version. Now it's my turn to ask a question, Marrk (or anyone else who can help): Could you please give me a list of Dream Factory tracks which differ from the versions on SOTT? That is unless they ALL differ. Cheers.

I got the 2000 Thunderball 2CD version of Dream Factory.
Is the later remastered version really better quality? (has anyone got both, who could make an objective comparison?)

I haven't got the Thunderball version but I've got The Work box set and the Dream Factroy songs are excellent quality
