Appreciation Thread: A Million Days

A Million Days is one of my all time favorites and I think the best from Musicology. Anyone else love this song as much as I do? smile

This is one of the best songs on Musicology, along with The Marrying Kind, What Do U Want Me 2 Do, and If Eye Was the Man in Ur Life.

My personal favorite is "The Marrying Kind", which I listened to way more than I care to admit. boxed

It's a proper Prince song that only Prince could have recorded. I think t is one of his better songs from the 2000-2010 period.

RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

Definitely one of the best songs from the Musicology era. Should've definitely been a bigger hit back in 2004 and 2005. Such a thought-provoking and well-done track.

I heart the sound fallinluv in spite of the dire lyrics bheart

It sure would have been a hit if Prince had chosen to promote it imo.

It was recorded much earlier then you think.

Mid to late 90's along with one other track from Musicology, i cant remember which one.

Maybe written, but the version on that album was recorded during the Musicology recording sessions.

There maybe was a version recorded back then, too, but are you really convinced that the version on Musicology is the exact one recorded back then?

It is a great song from a great album. He does that kind of song so well. There is truthful emotion in that song.

So true. My favorite line in that song is, "I'd crawl on my belly and beg you. But you're so far away." I love when he expresses that type of honest, raw emotion. A Million Days and Marrying Kind are my favorites in Musicology.
