DREAM NON-HIT SETLIST FOR UK FESTIVAL GIG

I guess Prince will be playing all the well known hits for this concert, but I also would love it if he adds a few others:

Hmyes, on moquake.

That could or even would be a merge of the fresh/new aspect with the safety of hits that could appease both the casual fan and the hardcore following.

DREAM set-list? Well here goes:

(Prince arrives on stage bare-chested with big fuck off hat.

I'm not sure why he's bare chested. It's nothing sexual. It's just cool.)

It's immediately apparent that this will be a rock set, before the audience get's a peak of Prince,

his Hohner can be heard wailing and scratching the opening riff to Hendrix's Voodoo Child

(Slight Return)...

Voodoo Child (Slight Return) (Jimi Hendrix cover)

Dreamer

Calhourn Square

Endorphinemachine

Wall of Berlin

Joy In Repetition

Bambi

Smells Like Teen Spirit (Nirvana cover)

Electric Chair

Computer Blue

Peach / C & D reprise

Encore:

Empty Room

At this point, everyone believes the concert is over. Until Prince strolls back with one last song:

Killing In The Name (Rage Against The Machine)

(Those familiar with the above closing number will know that this would NEVER happen.

But boy, if it did!!)

Very interesting. That setlist has a bit of the vibe at the New New Power Trio aftergig at the Indigio2 in 2007. (guitar, bass, drums, nothing else)

Exactly what I had in mind!

Just like Hendrix at the Isle of Wight festival in 1970.

Slammin'!

As a 'fresh' cover he could do 'Weak' from Skunk Anansie.
This track can have a great guitar workout and fits well with the New Power Trio vibe...

Actually I think that a festival is exactly the right time to do a greatest hits show. Festival goers don't want to hear bsides and album tracks, they want songs they recognise. A hell of a lot of people who see him will not really know him other than his biggest hits, and that's what he should give them.

At a concert on the other hand, he needs a boot up his arse to put a lot of that tired shit to bed and focus on some new/rare stuff for those who have been fans for the longhaul.

blah blah blah
