I think he probably means the released version.
We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves. |

I think PRince always sounds better on wax than CD. There is NO bottom to most Prince CDs at all. I don't know why but a lot of the bass lines are lost in the transfer. |

How could he recapture Tamborine with Tick, Tick Bang when Tick, Tick, Bang was written first?
Say what? By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory! |

I didn't stutter. Tick, Tick, Bang was written before Tamborine. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves. |

I don't know the technical terms to this, but in order to cram more music onto a disc, they shave off the very high and very low "wavelengths" (or whatever it's called).
It's why a .WMV music file takes up more space than an .MP3 file. [Edited 5/12/11 14:35pm] By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory! |

What album was it supposed to be on? By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory! |

The original TTB is circulating, it's quite "punky" in sound, quite a lot different from the GB version.

This was my favourite album for quite some time. I still *love* it.
"Say Papa, I think I wanna dance! WAOOW" < One of my favourite Prince moments ever.

And SOOOOO much better imo. I was never a fan of this song when I only knew the GB version...THEN I hear the 81 version. Now its one of my faves. |

new wave punk funk at its best. the gb version sounds clunky and lazy in comparison. don't play me...i'm over 30 and i DO smoke weed.... |

I have never, ever, heard this album on vinyl. I must correct that one day. I suspect Condition of the Heart would sound aMAZing, with its ultra-wide dynamic range...
You are correct in that |
