I was thinking the other day that Prince went through a "high school" writing phase. I'm sure a lot of u know more about when certain songs were written better than I do, but I was thinking about all of his school songs. Here are the ones I can think of (even recorded by associated acts):

"Circle of Amour" and possibly "Starfish & Coffee".

I know someone who went to high school with him and said he was really short and shy and would often hide behind his sister while walking down the hallways.

School is a theme in a lot of Prince's work. He uses it often.

In addition to what's been mentioned, "Shhh" is a good example. So is "Man'O'War" ("I've been trying 2 make U happy, baby, ever since we were sophomores"). You could also add Sheila E.'s "Yellow," which he wrote. There are a lot of examples.

Well, you can count out "After Hi School" because Dez wrote it. The vibe and feel is very similar to V6's "He's So Dull" which Dez also wrote. There's a real kinda 60's USA playful rock vibe to both those songs, I've always felt. Reminds me of those movies like "Grease" and stuff like that, lol. Cadillacs and hot dog trucks and stuff.

Also, those sort of lyrics on "Shhh", like "do you after school like some homework", that's cos the song was written for Tevin Campbell, and Tevin's version was released too, before Prince redid it and also released it himself on "The Gold Experience".
