4DaFunk's Columbia '81 question

Recentky downloaded it but there's a problem with my Columbia '81: the sound is indeed better than on my City Lights BUT the transition between "Uptown" and "Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad?" is fucked, with a few seconds missing (which ruins everything, considering that the transition between these 2 songs is just so great). I checked and the original City Lights HAS the missing seconds and a perfect transition. Is my download of the 4DaFunk release fucked up or did they really make a mistake with it (hard to believe but who knows)? I'd be really grateful if someone could check if you have this problem on your 4DaFunk version, too: maybe i need to d/l it again from anutha source.

Thanks cool

Transition is fine

Mine's is similar to yours, Databank. I just checked. It's like the last few notes or whatever are chopped off, abruptly cutting the song off when transitioning into WYWTMSB. I never really listened to that version, so I never even noticed it until now. I usually go straight to City Lights for this show.

I have a similar problem with Atlanta 1980 where it goes quiet for some seconds on WYWTMSB but I'm ignoring it because it stellar otherwise.

So it means that it's not flawed but that a fucked up copy is widely circulating. Thanks Langebleu, and let us guys find a better copy biggrin

Then you don't have the 4DF version: that gap has been perfectly filled.

BTW i'm really sick of people sharing shit on the internet: albums with missing tracks, amputated tracks, corrupted files, mistitled songs... The time I waste because of that shit!!! I DO check things before sharing them for chrissakes, so y can't other poeple do it?!

Sometimes people don't even realize they have a flawed file or don't bother to check.

As a rule of thumb, you can take for granted there's no such thing as a bad transition on any 4DF release. Fixing and smoothing bad transitions is one of the trademark features of their releases.

My copy is also clean. I've checked the transition (FLAC, gapless). No problem.
