Whats up with this tour...I can see NYC...but why the Carolinas? Why not other large markets?

As someone who lives in the Carolina's may I start off with KMA.

Secondly, I wonder if it didn't have something to do with Shelby's wedding. I thought I heard she got married 2 -3 weeks ago and he sung at her wedding. So they were already here.

Ahhhhhh! That totally made my day! Of course the rest of the country needs to seem him too! That question is twisted... we in Carolina never said anything like " Why NYC? That place is a dump"... We're above that.

You know, I have mad love for those in NY, Cali & Vegas; but this is not Monoply where you get everything. You have had him enough. The Midwest (Michigan to be exact) hasn't seen him since 2004, so Prince, You need to come back and do the Detroit Crawl. We'll keep the lights on for you.

I like the way he is conducting the current tour. We never know where he is going next and it adds a bit of intrigue and excitement.

Thinking that he wanted to play the large markets, I was certain he was headed to Vegas when the Oakland dates ended, but the brother proved me wrong.

I am excited to see what happens next. If he comes near the Mid-WEst I will be there. I hope to get the chance to see Misty dance to Beautiful Ones.

Me too! I hope for some West Coast dates over the summer, though. That would be nice.

That question sure is twisted. The Carolinas are NO dump. I lived in North Carolina and visited some places in South Carolina some years ago.

Prince has toured California, Florida, Las Vegas, NYC, .... SO WHY NOT the Carolinas now?

Prince last played Charleston on Dec. 11, 1980, at the Gaillard Auditorium downtown while touring in support of his third album, "Dirty Mind."

Ask yourself this question: "Would Prince really end his tour in Charleston, SC?" Possible but I find it highly unlikely... If he does.... THATS AWESOME...I was lucky enough to see the last show of the tour... But I'm sure there will be more cities soon...

WELL....I just stumbled across this video...good luck finding it. but i do beleive around 5:29, Prince says "they know you are my bitch"he is singing ADORE......but after watching it again maybe he says FIX....but it sure sounds like bitch!!!

Prince definitely sounded serious in N. Charleston about the rest of the world awaits.... I think he's not announcing them so quickly because of the stir it creates when people find out it's in their state or town! I'm glad I got to see him in Charleston. The last time I saw him in Carolina was in Columbia, SC in 1998.

You got that right... I went nuts trying to make sure I COULD get off work. It wasn't easy either... But it was totally worth it...

I'm not sure but Prince has not been to NC since the mid-90s (Raleigh, 1996? 1997? Can anyone confirm?). So we were WAYYYYY overdue. The closest he got was Atlanta GA (I think). And there are a lot of FUNKY Prince fans in the Carolinas! He figured that out in Greensboro!

Not correct. I know he came in the early 2000's for Hit N Run. (was there)

I know he came to Raleigh and Columbia for Musicology. (was there too)

I saw him in Raleigh NC a couple of weeks ago. He was great! This is the third time I've seem him and he is better than ever. I hope to catch him again down the road in another city.

I saw him in Raleigh a couple of weeks ago. He said that he was last here eight years ago. I did not see he in 2004 in Raleigh, but a friend of mine did.
