i used 2 really like this song until i just listened again! it sounds so dated, almost like a pub band.. but an acoustic, piano or rock version would be whip it up 2 date | |

I think I've said before of all the Prince albums I have listened to 750 gazillion times, D&P and the Symbol album have dated the worst for me over the years.
That being said, I still think this song is absolutely brilliant and agree that along with Love to the 9s, it is my favorite on the album!

"Flesh of my flesh" always stuck in my head - great track!
He meant it to sound loungy and somewhat dated...thus the overall vibe of the song
Oh and hell yez on Love2the9s! wanna make love suga...2 the nines The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

Most, if not all the ballads on that cd are superb. "Sweet Baby", "Damn U" and "And God Created Woman" are timeless and among my all time favorites. The same goes for the outtake, "Poor Little Bastard", from around this time. | |
