Generally speaking, the subject name/title of the thread gives a pretty good idea of whether the post is about his music or something else about him. If a thread has a title like this one does, you are at liberty to stay away from it.

Can't answer your question, but ... the first (someone correct me if I'm wrong) time he was on American Bandstand his guitar strap broke or came undone very early in the song and his guitar (which was slung behind him) slid down his back and onto the floor! No Prince guitar solos that day!

It sure did. He was mid dance move with the guitar on his back and pop went the strap and it slid right down onto the ground. I believe at the same time he kicked his mic stand or did something with it because, IIRC, he begins using Andre's the entire time?

Yeah, actually I believe it was his first TV appearance ever. So he was quite nervous - you can definitely tell. Some people have stated that his lack of speaking to Dick Clarke was owed to his nervousness, but I am pretty sure Dez debunked that in his book and stated that they had decided back stage to not say shit to him and only answer with 1 word or gestures, etc.

He was 21 at the time!

Yes, he does look quite nervous. It was quite funny to watch actually, knowing what was to come. I think it would have been not so funny if his career had stayed that course! You can see the others giving him glances that betray his nervousness.
