I like LeAnn Rimes version better, but this is pretty good. Why is it that everybody does Purple Rain better than Prince does?

I'm not particulary a big fan of Natasha Beddinfield but I do think that she can sing well enough. But this performance makes me think she studied Patti Labelle's tribute cover...bloody terrible.
I've always said if you're not playing a guitar while performing Purple Rain you're only doing half a song.You need to be belting out a grand solo to give the song the entire emotion that Prince intended IMHO. Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!
